"Stay a while till the world grows smaller"

Recommended listening:

Sometimes there’s an answer.
It’s just about working it out, about weighing up all the pros and cons, figuring out the right way forward, the right action, finding the funds, the people, the skills. Finding the right place to go, the right thing to say.
But sometimes there is no answer.
No new direction, no secret code. Sometimes it’s just about waiting until you’re able to hold this lumpy, awkward, unsolved thing. Not changing it, not fixing it, just sitting with it until you can let go of it and it can let go of you.
I have found no better place to do that than under the leaves. It takes time, a long time. More time than I have to spare. But if you sit and wait then something changes, things settle, breathing slows, everything seems a little smaller. Often you walk away with no more clue than you arrived with. But the scope has changed. The camera lens has zoomed out, and the horizon has shifted.
I’ve lost count of how many answers I haven’t found under the leaves.
